A verified full-circle edge (rim), in frame coordinates.
The meridian frame at any rim point has x = outward radial (away from the
axis) and y = axis. axis is oriented as the planar face’s final
outward normal, so the planar face is always y = 0 with normal +y
in meridian coordinates.
frame is identity for rims that are circles in the evaluation frame.
Rims that are elliptical in the evaluation frame (anisotropically
scaled leaves) resolve in the owning leaf’s local frame, where they are
exact circles; frame maps that frame to the evaluation frame, so the
world curve is the frame image of this circle. All fields (center, axis,
radius, meridian data, extents) are frame-local.
Fields§
§frame: DAffine3Frame the circle lives in (frame → evaluation coordinates).
center: DVec3§axis: DVec3Unit circle-plane normal — the planar face’s final outward normal.
radius: f64§ref_dir: DVec3Angular origin of the curved leaf’s tessellation: its local +X
image (unit, ⊥ axis). Masks anchor their polygon phase here so
their chords coincide with the leaf’s facets in the mesh booleans.
leaf_segments: Option<usize>Segment count of the curved leaf’s render tessellation (None for
spheres, which have no prism phase to match).
nb2: DVec2Final outward normal of the curved face, meridian coords.
da2: DVec2In-face directions away from the rim, meridian coords. Face A is the
planar face (da2.y == 0).
db2: DVec2§extent_a: f64Setback room along da2/db2.

pithier.
§Example

but are pithier.
§Example

pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():

§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the [Condition] value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
